The fuel injection pump can be removed to check and adjust on the test bench. However, if there is no test bench and the uneven oil supply must be checked, the oil supply of the suspected cylinder can also be roughly checked. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the fuel supply of Cummins generator set at this time. How should it be adjusted? We will teach you the following methods:
1. Prepare two glass measuring cylinders for later use. If you cannot find the measuring cylinder for a while, you can also use two identical vials instead.
2. Remove the high-pressure oil pipe joint that connects the fuel injector to the cylinder with too much fuel supply (or too small).
3. Remove the high-pressure pipe joint that connects the fuel injector to the first cylinder with normal fuel supply.
4. Insert the ends of the two oil pipes into two measuring cylinders (or vials) respectively.
5. Use the genset engine starter to rotate the power engine to pump oil from the fuel injection pump.
6. When there is a certain amount of dg in the graduated cylinder (or vial), place the graduated cylinder on the water platform and compare the amount of oil to determine whether the fuel supply is too large or too small. If a vial is used instead, it can be weighed and compared. The relative position of the fork (or gear ring) on the fuel injection pump oil volume adjustment rod (that is, the gear rod) can be changed for adjustment. The P_ type pump can be adjusted by rotating the flange sleeve.
