After the generator set has been used for a period of time, we need to check whether the physical properties of the parts are normal. The principle of checking the components of a generator set is to judge the status of the technology through the changes caused by the components. This method is usually carried out with a combination of instruments and tools.

1. Magnetic force method: Use the conditions shown when the magnetic lines of force pass through the magnetic material to determine whether there are defects such as cracks, voids, and uneven structure inside the parts, which is also called magnetic testing. This method has high sensitivity, quick and simple operation. The fresh water is suitable for parts that are easy to be magnetized, and it is not easy to be detected deep in the surface of the part.
2. Penetration method: Apply a penetration with high penetration to the surface of the cleaned generator set parts. Due to the surface wetting, it will penetrate into the defect, then remove the excess penetration on the surface, and then apply the developer . The permeation method is divided into two types: coloring method and fluorescence method according to different media. Coloring method is used for surface cracks of parts and parts that are difficult to be inspected by magnetic inspection and fluorescence method. The equipment used in the infiltration method is simple, the operation is more convenient, and it is not restricted by the material and the shape of the part. It is a relatively common method.

The start-up process of the engine generator set is too cumbersome, and the quality of multiple energy conversion directly affects the normal start of the engine generator set. Therefore, before starting the dg set, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the diesel engine generator set. Bidirection Power advise that you should check the oil level of the power genset, fuel level, coolant level, battery power, and control the oil volume of the governor.
Before starting the dg genset, check the generator genset thoroughly. The control panel should be closed before inspection, taking care not to short-circuit the battery output electrode. Re-clean and inspect the engine room to ensure that there are no flammable and explosive materials around the generator for ac, and that the air entering and exiting the engine room is unblocked. Check and ensure that the electrical and control components of the 350 kVA generator are properly connected, in good contact, reliable, and free from aging.
Check the reliability of the cummins generator set fasteners and throttle control system, confirm the flexibility, portability and reliability of each control mechanism of the generator set, and check the pretension of the pump belt, feeding belt and fan belt.
