1. The more oil in the oil pan, the better. In order to prevent the Cummins generator set from burning tiles, some people think that the more oil in the oil pan, the more safe it is, and the oil often exceeds the specified height of the oil level. This approach is wrong. Generally, diesel engines are equipped with an oil dipstick that can check the oil level of the oil pan. There are two engraved lines on the dipstick, and the oil should be filled between the upper and lower engraved lines. If it is lower than the lower score line, the normal lubrication of the relative moving parts cannot be guaranteed, which will aggravate the wear of the parts, and even cause the burning of the shaft. If the oil level exceeds the upper engraved line, it is easy to cause burning and draining of oil, resulting in cementation of the piston ring, reduced sealing, blue smoke from the exhaust, large oil consumption, carbon deposits, and accelerated mechanical wear.
2. The lower the throttle, the more "fuel-efficient". Whether a Cummins dg generator set saves fuel during operation does not depend on the amount of fuel consumed per unit time, but on how much effective work can be produced by consuming a certain amount of fuel. Therefore, fuel consumption is usually used as a measure of fuel economy, that is, an indicator of economic performance. In the case of a certain diesel engine load, the circulating fuel supply is basically unchanged when the throttle position is changed. As a result, it only changed the speed range of the governor and the speed of the Cummins generator set. However, within the operating speed range of the diesel engine generator set, the change of speed has little effect on fuel consumption. Others said: "I would rather unscrew it than loose it". This view is wrong. Because the result of this will inevitably cause deformation and bulge around the cylinder bolt hole, resulting in uneven joint surface, cylinder head bolt is also stretched or slipped due to excessive stress, so that the pressing force of the joint surface is reduced and Uneven. It can be seen that excessive tightening of cylinder head bolts is harmful. The correct way is to tighten them to the specified torque in a certain order (2, 3 times).
4.The lower the cooling water temperature, the better. In fact, low water temperature is also harmful:
a. The thermal efficiency of dongfong Cummins generator set is reduced. Due to the excessive cooling of the body temperature, the ignition of the diesel engine is delayed, the combustion is poor, the speed is unstable, the power is reduced, the fuel consumption is increased, and carbon deposits are easy.
b. It is easy to cause the burning gas to condense into water and form acidic compounds with the sulfur in diesel oil to corrode the parts. So as to accelerate the damage of the mechanical parts. The normal cooling water temperature should be 80%℃, and the evaporative heat dissipation can be higher.
5. The tighter the installation of the transmission belt, the better. If the transmission belt (or V-belt) is installed too loosely, the belt will inevitably slip, resulting in lower working efficiency. But the belt installation is not as tight as possible. Because the transmission belt is too tight, firstly, it will increase the radial pressure of the main shafts of the connected two machines, which is easy to cause deformation of the two shafts or early damage to the bearings; secondly, the mechanical load of the transmission force is heavier, and it is easy to malfunction; thirdly, it will increase the transmission belt itself Tensile force shortens its service life.
