The set features high voltage regulation accuracy, good dynamic performance, small voltage wave distortion, high efficiency, reliable operation, long service life and good fuel economy. With a maintenance-free battery starting system, the generating sets can be started to generate electric power just by pouring oil and coolant and turning on the negative switch, greatly improving the convenience of use. The D series engine is jointly designed by SDEC and AVL of Austria. In 2005, SDEC cooperated with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) of America to carry out a reinforcing design and 4-valve upgrading.
