Bidirection power SC Series 495 kVA DG Set 50Hz is powered by the G series diesel engine model SC25G610D2 of Shanghai Diesel Engine Co., LTD (SDEC). The sets feature high voltage regulation accuracy, good dynamic performance, small voltage wave distortion, high efficiency, reliable operation, long service life and good fuel economy. With a maintenance-free battery starting system, the generating sets can be started to generate electric power just by pouring oil and coolant and turning on the negative switch, greatly improving the convenience of use. The G series V-type engine (SC25/27G) is improved by SDEC on the basis of the 12V135 diesel engine that is special for generator sets with major upgrades in engine quality, reliability, fuel economy, NVH and appearance. The SC27G engine’s stroke is extended to 155 mm. Most parts of the G series V-type engine are interchangeable with those of the 12V135 diesel engine. It is made in accordance with the SAIC MOTOR manufacturing standards.
