Papua New Guinea is rated the fifth out of 20 selected developing countries in the world that are prone to power outages in the year of 2018. The country experienced power outages 42 times per month on average. The continuing power blackouts really affect the daily production and living.
Our client purchased a 110 kVA Cummins diesel generator set (BP-C110) as standby power system for an apartment at Lamana in Port Moresby. PNG is located in equatorial region. High temperature exists every day. The dg unit provided the tenants living in the building with backup power supply during the blackout. Air-conditioner would be still working since the dg unit took charge when mains power supply is out.
