1. General maintenance

When removing the end cover, be careful not to damage the genset stater coil protruding from the surface of the base; when removing the rotor, put cardboard between the genset stater and rotor of the genset motor to prevent damage to the iron core and windings. When tying the rotor with steel cables, The steel cable shall not touch the rotor journal, phoenix fan, collector slip and lead wire that changes hands. The place where the rope is tied must be padded with wood or rubber;
3. Drying of generator
The newly installed marine Cummins genset engine set should generally be dried before operation. If the insulation resistance meets the requirements, drying is not required, but the load within 24 hours of the start of operation should preferably not exceed 50% of the rated capacity.
